Victorian Love Token Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet Bangle, full Charms

This antique Victorian sterling or coin silver love token bracelet features a narrow hand-engraved silver bangle with purpose-made loops holding an eclectic collection of miniature charms. The sterling silver charms include a violin, sleigh, horseshoe, trumpet, washboard, monkey, and the remains of a shovel charm, accompanied by two intricately carved nut or other organic-material charms in the forms of a basket and padlock. The bracelet dates to approximately the late 19th century and exemplifies the Victorian love token or add-a-charm bangle style, with an adjustable overlapping band, sliding keeper, and hand-engraved starburst decoration surrounding the charm attachment points. The varied charms appear to have been collected and added over the bracelet's lifetime and may date to different periods.

Condition is good antique condition with substantial age-appropriate patina, oxidation, surface wear, and evidence of long use. One shovel charm is broken, with only the handle and upper portion remaining. The carved organic charms show natural variation and age-related wear. The bracelet and charms have intentionally not been heavily polished in order to preserve their aged character.
