Vintage Brass & Amber Pendant, Multi Strand Bead Necklace, 92.13g

This vintage multi-strand amber bead necklace features an abundant arrangement of satin-finished Baltic amber beads in graduated honey, cognac, and deep brown tones. Multiple strands of round, elongated, and seed-sized amber beads gather at a large rectangular amber pendant accented with an engraved brass plaque in a geometric design. A carved amber hook-and-disc closure completes the necklace. It dates to approximately the early to mid-20th century and exemplifies the bold, handcrafted statement jewelry of the period.

The amber fluoresces strongly under ultraviolet light and showed no significant softening or tackiness during acetone testing. These results are consistent with mature amber rather than younger copal; however, laboratory analysis has not been performed.

Condition is good vintage condition with age-related wear. The amber retains an intentionally soft satin finish, with natural variation, surface wear, and minor imperfections throughout. The brass plaque displays patina, discoloration, and minor surface wear. Adhesive residue and wear are visible on the reverse of the pendant, and some thread ends are visible where the strands attach. Any notable wear, repairs, replacements, or imperfections are described and photographed for accuracy.
