Vintage Carved Carnelian Pendant: Shou Longevity Symbol, Gold Over Sterling

This necklace features a hand-carved carnelian pendant depicting the Chinese Shou (寿) symbol of longevity, suspended from a gold vermeil over sterling silver chain. Dating to approximately the late 20th century, it exemplifies traditional Chinese-inspired craftsmanship with meaningful symbolism and warm natural color.

Condition is excellent vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use. The carnelian displays beautiful natural translucency and inclusions, and the intricate openwork carving remains crisp and well defined.
