Vintage Chinese Export Sterling Silver Enamel Filigree Butterfly Brooch

This vintage butterfly brooch is crafted in sterling silver with exceptionally delicate filigree work and colorful enamel decoration. Likely made in China for the export market during the mid-20th century, the butterfly features openwork silver wings filled with intricate scrollwork and vivid shades of cobalt blue, turquoise, green and warm red-orange.

The wings are especially detailed, with fine coiled wire cells and concentric enamel decoration creating an almost jewel-like effect. The butterfly's body is finished in striped blue enamel, while slender silver antennae complete the design.

The reverse is marked "SILVER." The brooch has also been strongly verified as sterling silver through acid testing.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, patina and some minor irregularities/loss to the enamel consistent with the age and delicate construction of the piece. The pin mechanism is intact. Please examine the detailed photographs carefully for condition.
