Vintage Sterling Silver Spiny Oyster Pachamama Spiral Pendant Necklace 18"

This vintage sterling silver necklace features a large round pendant with red, salmon and orange spiny oyster shell mosaic inlay surrounding a continuous silver spiral. The bold spiral design is commonly associated with Pachamama, or Mother Earth, imagery in Andean and Peruvian jewelry, while the richly colored Spondylus shell creates a striking contrast against the sterling silver. It dates to approximately the late 20th century and is paired with an 18-inch sterling silver chain.

Condition is good vintage condition with light surface wear and patina consistent with age. The spiny oyster shell mosaic displays natural variation in color and texture, with small irregularities characteristic of the inlay construction.
