Antique Victorian/Edwardian Sterling Silver Egyptian Faience Scarab Filigree Brooch

This antique brooch features an intricately worked sterling silver filigree setting centered by a carved and glazed blue faience scarab. It may represent an earlier Egyptian element incorporated into the jewelry during the late Victorian or Edwardian period, a practice that became fashionable alongside the era's fascination with Egyptian antiquities. The surrounding silverwork features elaborate wire filigree, applied granulation and polished teardrop accents. The brooch dates to approximately 1890–1915 and exemplifies late Victorian to Edwardian Egyptian Revival jewelry.
